Our U.S Patent Pending design for "The Original Brooklyn Pizza Steel™" was to make it as convenient and lightweight as possible. We eliminated any excess steel and added an easy and secure handle to acheive this. See the product info page.

Our steel is oiled with grapeseed oil that will cook onto the steel creating a change in color along with a seasoned non-stick surface. This is 100% normal. The more use the more color changes and variations which means more love and unique patina. Notice the photo here.

Use a sponge or stiff brush with soap and warm water. Dry with a clean lint-free cloth and apply Grapessed or Canola oil to the surface. Preheat the oven for a minimum of 30 minutes at 400° before use and store in a dry place. *See video for process.

Yes... You absolutley can! The results will be much better because the surface tempurature will be much hotter than what you are used to, which will result in a much crispier crust.

The Brooklyn Bridge was designed by German engineer John A. Roebling. He soon passed after construction began and his son Washington Roebling, took over. Soon after, Washington came down with the Bends, he then directed the construction from his Brooklyn Heights bed and began relying on his wife, Emily Warren Roebling, to execute his orders. Mrs. Roebling applied herself to the study of engineering, and she succeeded so well that in a short time she was able to assume the duties of chief engineer. A week from opening the bridge to the public, Emily hitched up a team of horses and became the first person to cross the completed span. She brought along a live rooster for good luck and as a symbol of victory. After achieving this she became known as: “The Woman Behind the Man who built the Brooklyn Bridge.” On May 24th, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge opened to the public. It was described as an engineering marvel because at the time it was the largest suspension bridge ever built. It was labeled as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”!
