Our U.S Patent Pending design for "The Original Brooklyn Pizza Steel™" was to make it as convenient and lightweight as possible. We eliminated any excess steel and added an easy and secure handle to acheive this. See the product info page.

Our steel is oiled with grapeseed oil that will cook onto the steel creating a change in color along with a seasoned non-stick surface. This is 100% normal. The more use the more color changes and variations which means more love and unique patina. Notice the photo here.

Use a sponge or stiff brush with soap and warm water. Dry with a clean lint-free cloth and apply Grapessed or Canola oil to the surface. Preheat the oven for a minimum of 30 minutes at 400° before use and store in a dry place. *See video for process.

Yes... You absolutley can! The results will be much better because the surface tempurature will be much hotter than what you are used to, which will result in a much crispier crust.

No big deal! Rust is possible if the steel is exposed to moisture in anyway.
